MARSHA MICHELLE BUCKLEW

~~Dec 9, 1974 - Nov 12, 1979~~

Do not stand at my grave and weep.

I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the mornings hush, I am the swift uplifting rush

of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die.

~Unknown~

~GOD'S LITTLEST ANGEL~

Mommy and Daddy don't cry for me.
To walk the earth was not meant to be.
I'm in God's house you see.

I watch over you every day.
I know that you love me in a very special way.

You wanted me to be healthy and whole,
So you had to let me go.

You will get to see me every day,
As you look at the children who past your way.

I may be the little boy with the dimple in his chin,
Or the little girl with the golden curl.

You will know what you did is right,
Because when you look in the sky on a clear star filled night,

I will be the star that is shining so bright.
I love you Mommy and Daddy good night.

~In Memory of Marsha~

I think of Marsha everyday.
Then stop and silently I pray.
I pray Dear God above take care of her,
And hear just what I have to say.

If silence were heard, you'd know just how I feel.
For life without Marsha, sometimes is unreal.

My memory of her is like that of a clown.
A face unforgotten, "cause its always around".

For in every room of this rundown old home,
I see Marsha's face but, I know I'm alone.

But I still meet God, in the shadows of night.
We go to her grave and talk till day-light.

She's not really dead, she's just sleeping you see.
I'm waiting for someday when she'll talk to me,
And we'll be together again, as we used to be.

So, at this time Dear God, I'll let you have her,
And I'll say goodnight to Marsha, and I'll go on home.

You have pleasant dreams now, and I'll leave you alone.
Remember I love you Marsha, and I always will.

If silence were heard, you'd know just how I feel.

Dear God, take care of our baby for us,
Until we are together again...

~A Grandmother's Memory Of Marsha~

You cannot say, You must not say,
That she is dead, She is just away.

With a cheery smile and a wave of the hand,
She wondered into an unknown land.

And has left us dreaming how very fair,
Her needs must be since she is there.

And we who yearn for the old times,
step and glad return,

think of her faring on more dear,
In the love of there, as in the love of here.

And think of her still as the same and say,
She is not dead, she is just away,

But we never despair, as God is there.

WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU SO!

~Special Angel~

(DOWN SYNDROME BIRTH)

As beautiful angels wings were flying over the streets of gold
the baby angels could only watch since they weren't very old.

Then one day God stopped to talk to a little one without wings,
He said, "your day has come...just listen to the angels sing."

Confused yet excited the little one said to the Lord,
"But I'm different from the others God and not a miracle to behold.

" "Oh, but yes you are," He said with a hug and smile on his face.
"You're the greatest gift I can give and a loving home you will grace."

You mean, tho I'm different and will never be beautiful or smart
someone will want me and give me a place in their heart?"

"Gee God...that person must be special to be glad to have me,
cause most folks would frown and upset they would be."

God said, "Your little heart was filled with more love than most,
cause I knew this family would love you and hold you real close.

So go my little angel and take the greatest gift I can bestow.
You're that "special" angel few people have the honor to know."
